Writing is good for students in so many ways:
- It helps with their handwriting and their fine motor skills.
- It helps them develop imagination and creativity.
- It opens up their true thoughts and helps them express emotions.
- It helps with reading, spelling and grammar.
- It helps them to develop plots, characters, and other elements of story.
And those are just a few reasons! Here’s a list of fun writing prompts you can use for your kids to get them writing daily. They can do these as a self-start activity, journaling or learning more about the creative writing process. These are just ideas, and while we do update this regularly, adding more ideas for your convenience, you can also keep in mind you can create prompts relevant to what they are learning in other subjects in school.
