This world seems to be missing values more and more each day. Is it our obsession with social media? Is it the negative news? Is it the lack of taking time to teach our children daily? Whatever the reason, we need more good values in our lives every single day. There are so many values to pick from, but here’s a small list of ten we think would help make the world (and your home) a better place.

Ten Values to Value:

1. Accountability

Learning to accept responsibility for your own actions and choices. Knowing that most consequences are out of our control.

2. Discipline

Being willing to be consistent and disciplined in working to better ourselves, even when the results don’t show right away.

3. Good Works

Always striving to put good works into the world, and accepting that you may or may not get credit.

4. Gratitude

Understanding we have so much to be thankful for, even during times of trial.

5. Hard Work

A major skill lacking in today’s youth. Learning to work hard and be proud of your efforts is a tremendous value to teach.

6. Honesty

The ability to tell the truth in all things, no matter the circumstance.

7. Integrity

Doing what you say you will do, even when no one is watching.

8. Virtue

Having high morale standards, and being unashamed.

9. Vision

Vision is the key to motivation. Being able to see the bigger picture, and your role in it.

10. Wisdom

Knowledge is the only thing we can take with us when we leave this life. Developing wisdom to make sound judgments based upon the knowledge we have gained.
